IO Mapping

The nXPico W exposes an IO e WiFi module (ModuleId 1704) under the device node: the same channel set as nXPico, on the same GPIOs, plus the WiFi configuration parameters described in WiFi Configuration.

The six digital outputs can be driven as PWM outputs at runtime, exactly as on nXPico — same channels, same pins, same behaviour.

PWM_ENABLE := 2#0000_0100; (* OUT2 becomes a PWM output *)
PWM2 := 32768; (* 50% duty *)

The carrier frequency is a device parameter, one per pair of outputs: 9200 for OUT0/OUT1, 9201 for OUT2/OUT3, 9202 for OUT4/OUT5. Range 9 Hz…100 kHz, default 2289 Hz, and the duty stays 0…65535 whatever frequency you choose.

The full explanation — resolution against frequency, why the pairs share a setting, how to measure it with a multimeter — is on the nXPico page.

“IO e WiFi” is the name of the node in the tree; the Model Name parameter is 'IO'.

Seven configuration parameters of the IO e WiFi module (IDs 6000–6006) set the SSID, password and IP configuration — see WiFi Configuration.

See ST Examples for sample code, and Serial Ports for the two UARTs available to the application.
